Skye Leon was born in Chicago, Illinois. She is a non-binary transgender woman — pronouns: she/her/they/them — who was raised in a Puerto Rican multi-generational family.
Thirsting for knowledge and truth motivates her to continue exploring new mediums. She enjoys helping marginalized communities thrive in any way that she can.
She enjoys spending her time creating music and working with creative applications to expand her tools to reach different forms of expression.
Skye hopes to learn how to hone her comprehension and analytical skills through The News School. She hopes to be able to deliver stories and knowledge in an effective and nuanced manner and to educate others with researched factual information.
