This week, unfortunate news struck social media with the loss of Joe E. Tata. He was widely known by many through the popular TV series “90210.” For those who may not know Tata played Nat Bussichio who was the owner of Peach Pits.

Last Thursday costar Ian Ziering announced on Instagram that Tata had passed away. He wrote, “In the last few months we’ve lost Jessica Klein one of 90210’s most prolific writers and producers, Denise Douse who played Mrs. Teasley, and now I’m very sad to say Joe E Tata has passed away.” Ziering wrote that Tata was a true OG.

He recalls his first time seeing him before they ever worked with each other on “90210.” He claims that Tata was one of the most content and joyful people that he has ever worked with. Not only that but he was wise, kind, and generous. Adding that it always felt like the Joe E Tata show.

Adding that Tata would share amazing and meaningful experiences that he has gone through in the entertainment industry. He kept the whole cast captivated by everything that he had to say.

He says even though he was always in the background of the show he was a leading force. He sends his deepest condolences to family friends and everyone who loved him as well.

Tata was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s Disease in 2018. His daughter Kelly was serving as his caretaker until he signed documents that entered him into a conservatorship unwittingly. He was a beloved actor in many shows and movies and had a strong career.

His final role on TV was in ABC Family’s “Mystery Girls.” That’s when his health “took a turn for the worse,” Kelly wrote. “Nat was a loving father figure to the kids of West Beverly High,” she wrote. “In real life, my Dad, Joey, is honest, kind, and a truly incredible father.”
